Steelers WR Brown gets Madden 19 cover

We already know that Antonio Brown has made it to the top of the NFL. Now, he's made it onto the cover of the video game he played as a youngster while dreaming of getting to the NFL.

EA SPORTS unveiled Brown on Wednesday as the cover guy for Madden NFL 19 and Madden NFL Overdrive. The game will be available Aug. 10 worldwide.

"To be on the cover is a real honor I've wanted to always have because I have so much connection with the game," says Brown, an All-Pro receiver the last four seasons and runner-up to Todd Gurley as NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2017. "Growing up as a kid I played Madden all the time, was being inspired by the players in the game. And now to be on the cover, it's a special feeling."

Cards GM banned 5 weeks for extreme DUI

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) The Arizona Cardinals suspended general manager Steve Keim for five weeks and fined him $200,000 after he pleaded guilty in court Tuesday to extreme DUI following a Fourth of July arrest in a Phoenix suburb.

A Chandler police report shows Keim had a blood-alcohol level of 0.19, more than twice Arizona's legal limit of 0.08 for drivers.

NFL reinstates Cowboys DE Gregory

FRISCO, Texas (AP) Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory, who was suspended all of last season over multiple violations of the NFL's substance-abuse policy, was reinstated Tuesday.

Gregory can join the Cowboys at training camp in California next week and will be eligible for games as long as he continues to meet the terms of his reinstatement, the league said. The team reports to Oxnard on July 24, two days before its first practice.

Rams, WR Cooks agree to 5-year extension

LOS ANGELES (AP) The Los Angeles Rams have agreed to a five-year extension with wide receiver Brandin Cooks.

The Rams traded their first- and sixth-round picks in the 2018 draft to the New England Patriots for Cooks and a fourth-round pick earlier this year.

Paralyzed Steelers DL Rivera dies at 57

Gabe Rivera, the overpowering "Senor Sack" lineman for Texas Tech who was paralyzed in a car accident while a Pittsburgh Steelers rookie, has died. He was 57.

The university on Tuesday confirmed Rivera's death. He had been living in San Antonio with his wife, Nancy, who told KENS-TV her husband had taken ill last week and died Monday night.

RB Bell likely to leave Steelers in 2019

PITTSBURGH (AP) Le'Veon Bell's next season with the Pittsburgh Steelers will almost certainly be his last.

The Pro Bowl running back and the defending AFC North champions failed to reach an agreement on a new contract by Monday's deadline, meaning he will play under the franchise tag for a second straight year and hit the open market next spring.

Packs' profit fell by nearly 50 percent

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) The Green Bay Packers' profit fell by nearly 50 percent in the last fiscal year as the team missed the playoffs for the first time in a decade.

President and CEO Mark Murphy said the outlook for the Packers remains strong as the NFL's only publicly owned team released its 2018 financial statement on Monday. The Packers announced a profit from operations of $34.1 million, a steep decline from $65.4 million a year earlier. Expenses soared 11.9 percent, from $376.1 million to $420.9 million, a byproduct of player salaries, coaching changes and travel costs. Revenue increased just 3.1 percent from $441.4 million to $454.9 million.

Gruden aids youth programs in Oakland

Jon Gruden is football through and through. It doesn't matter what level, what age, or where.

The former and now current coach of the Raiders displayed that again Tuesday by overseeing the distribution of funds and equipment to four Oakland youth football programs through the DICK'S Sporting Goods Sports Matter Program. Gruden has been a major spokesman for that initiative for more than four years.

QB Wentz marries longtime girlfriend

PERKASIE, Pa. (AP) Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz married his longtime girlfriend Maddie Oberg in a lakeside ceremony that thrilled some fans in boats.

The two were wed at the Lake House Inn in Bucks County on Sunday, and kayakers and canoers on Lake Nockamixon were treated to a waterside view of the nuptials.

Jets waive 2015 2nd-rounder Smith

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) The New York Jets waived 2015 second-round draft pick Devin Smith and signed safety Brandon Bryant on Monday.

Smith, a wide receiver from Ohio State, couldn't stay healthy or provide anything on the field for the team. He played in 14 games with only 10 receptions. Twice, Smith suffered major knee injuries.
